Venezuela On The Brink - Images and Video
Years ago back in the 70's, I worked on an audit in Venezuela and was left with two lasting impressions. The locals were quite intelligent and resourceful, and there was a limited middle class. I presume the socialists were able to capitalize on that gap in prosperity and come to power. It's unfortunate and I certainly hope the good people of Venezuela work through this tragedy. As Americans, we were treated extremely well by those we worked with. The street was not quite the same. I remember our car being pelted with a papaya while riding to work one morning. No big deal, but it made their point. Regardless, we should support the people of Venezuela and not leave them stranded like Obama did regarding Iran's potential uprising.
